Angus Maciver Ltd was established some sixty years ago as a haulage business. This family-run independent business has evolved, since then, into one of the leading suppliers of quality timber, roofing, and building products in the Western Isles.

Our aim is to be a ‘one stop shop’ for timber, roofing, and building supplies and we stock a wide range of products at very competitive prices from the industry’s leading manufacturers. Our on-site stock focus is on structural and joinery timber, sheet materials, and insulation products, and we can source and supply any non-stock building items with the minimum of delay. Our friendly expert staff, with a focus on quality and customer service, will help you choose the ideal product or solution for your needs.

In addition to providing builders and contractors with building materials we also have considerable depth and expertise to offer specialised assistance to self-build projects. We can offer help and advice to ensure the right materials are on site, on schedule, and within the client’s budget. We understand many construction methods and restraints of construction and this means we can tailor our service to suit client needs.

We have substantial parking availability at our yard to allow ease of material pick up or we can deliver free of charge to the client’s site or home. In addition to our two acre yard facility at Rigs Road, Stornoway, we also have our own quarrying, and high-quality sand supply facilities.

We also offer a skip hire and waste disposal service, a bulk bags supply service, and we are the agents for Apollo Blinds and Calor Gas. We supply bottled gases for both domestic and commercial clients, and mobile LPG powered heaters.

We accept payment by cash or credit card and we are happy to offer credit account facilities for both trade, self-build, and diy customers.
